Fucking hell. This is fast becoming Fritjof's trademark. Our excellent run just stopped dead in its tracks and four games without a win has seen us drop all the way down to 6th.

Five left to play. Time to try and snap us out of it with a 'team meeting'.

Back to winning ways against Amkar, who we leapfrog into 5th. Three goals for us, two of which were scored by left-back Ilja Zinin, one of which was this utterly ridiculous 35-yard free kick.

Fucking hell!

This fucking weird league. 6th one minute, two wins later we're back in first. Three games to play and we could very easily still finish as low as 8th.

We have two home games next that we should expect to win, against Zenit-2 (17th, relegation just confirmed) and KamAZ (12th). We then on the final day of the season have an away trip to Sibir, currently 6th and three points behind us - could be huge.

Hahahahaha. An absolutely sensational time for us to decide we're going to turn it on.

As we have the superior head-to-head record over Amkar, I think a win in our next game would guarantee at least a playoff place. If we win and either of Krylia Sovetov or Tosno lose, I think that guarantees us automatic promotion. Aghh and eek.

If we win and both Krylia and Tosno lose, that would be the title.......

A nervier-than-it-should-have-been victory but a victory nonetheless.

Our playoff place is now guaranteed, and we need a point in our final game away to Sibir to secure automatic promotion. A win will see us claim the title.

I worked out how to use tactics at the halfway point in the season, and our league record from then onwards was P19 W13 D4 L2.

Our aim next season will be avoiding relegation. Although with some database changes coming up, who knows how much of that battle against relegation I'll actually be around for...

The game ranks all European leagues by reputation and I use these rankings to help me determine which leagues to have in play. The Russian Prem'er Liga is currently ranked 6th in Europe, so when I eventually leave Fakel and am searching for another job I think I'll be able to set my sights a little higher than I have been previously. I've therefore removed the following leagues, which I am not necessarily 'above' but am just not keen to manage in as my next step:
Austria: 2nd division
Belgium: 2nd division
Bulgaria: 1st division
Czech Rep: 1st & 2nd division
Finland: 1st division
Greece: 2nd division
Israel: 1st division
Norway: 1st & 2nd division
Poland: 1st & 2nd division
Romania: 1st & 2nd division
Serbia: 1st division
Sweden: 1st & 2nd division
Turkey: 2nd division

I've also added a few leagues: my first potential routes out of Europe, and lower league routes into the (already in the database, but currently unrealistic) French and Spanish top flights.
China: 1st division
France: 2nd division
Japan: 1st division
South Korea: 1st division
Spain: 2nd division

When all changes take effect (they only become active/inactive when a new season starts in that league, so most will change over the summer but some won't change for another six months) my playable leagues will be (1st division only unless stated otherwise):
Austria
Belgium
China
France (1st & 2nd)
Greece
Japan
Russia
South Korea
Spain (1st & 2nd)
Turkey
Ukraine

Fuck's sake. Signed a new first-choice right-back. THREE DAYS LATER he gets injured and will be out for 4-5 months.
